Whistleblower Aid is a pioneering non-profit legal organization that helps public and private sector workers report and expose wrongdoing — safely, lawfully, and responsibly. We have represented some of the most significant whistleblowers of our time, including Frances Haugen of Facebook and the whistleblower whose revelations led to the first impeachment of Donald Trump, creating monumental and lasting changes to our democracy and beyond.
Our democracy functions best when institutions and leaders are subject to scrutiny, and when those who operate corruptly or illegally are held to account for their actions. Whistleblower Aid is a pioneering non-profit legal organization that helps government employees and private-sector workers report and expose wrongdoing—safely, lawfully, and responsibly.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, Whistleblower Aid is dedicated to supporting and protecting whistleblowers— in the interest of the public, and in the pursuit of a robust, resilient and thriving democracy.
Since our founding in 2017, we have supported and advocated for whistleblowers across government, Big Tech and other parts of the private sector, helping them find a safe way to disclose the important information they hold and bring that information to public attention. Whistleblower Aid fills a vital niche that, until now, has stood empty. No other organization matches Whistleblower Aid’s comprehensive, non-partisan approach to making whistleblowing safer, more accessible, and more effective. Whistleblower Aid empowers its clients to report and fix government and private-sector lawbreaking — without breaking the law.

- Guiding clients through the entire process to achieve the impact they seek
- Providing top notch legal representation, ideally starting before a whistleblower takes risky steps on their own
- Shepherding disclosures to oversight and regulatory bodies to trigger legal and policy changes, and advance whistleblower protections
- Developing a media strategy to build awareness and generate public discourse
- Implementing an advocacy strategy based upon the client’s goals and strength of the evidence
- Protecting anonymity including digital and physical security interventions
- Addressing each client’s needs for mental, emotional and physical well-being

“Whistleblower Aid is exactly the type of organization the American people need to make sure government is held accountable. […] Whistleblower Aid can help employees and contractors navigate through what can be a complicated set of laws and regulations. Now, more than ever, we need patriots to step forward and inform the public of any unlawful or inappropriate activity by government officials.”
U.S. Representative Ted Lieu
