Robert Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election affects us all.
American democracy should be government of of the people, by the people, for the people. Not government of, by, or for Vladimir Putin.
Mr. Putin should have no say in American government. That’s why the Deputy Attorney General of the United States appointed Robert Mueller to serve as Special Counsel.
It’s true that Putin’s corruption has made him the wealthiest human being in the history of Planet Earth, with estimated personal wealth over $350 billion. But he is an enemy of human rights and democracy.
Putin may have helped to elect our President. Now our President may try to dismantle Mr. Mueller’s investigation of Putin.
But there is still a way for Americans to learn the truth:
Whistleblowers.
Our founders — John N. Tye and Mark S. Zaid — write in today’s New York Times about how Mr. Mueller, or other courageous staff from his office, can ensure that Americans learn the truth, even if Trump fires them all.
We don’t yet know all their names. But if we enter a Constitutional crisis, they could play a special role in defending our Republic.
They are national heroes waiting to be born.
Please take the time and read the article. Watch our one-minute video here to understand how we help whistleblowers; then share both pieces with your networks. If more of us show support for whistleblowers, we just might be able to avert a Constitutional crisis.
We’re all in this together.
